I'm Schayna Hamel, but most people call me Schay! In the spring of 2023, I joined Assorted Artistries as a newly engaged bride-to-be. While helping assist with weddings, working with other wedding vendors and planning my own special day, I immersed myself into the wedding industry and completely fell in love. I also quickly noticed a significant gap, especially in my area. As the friend always behind the phone documenting every fun moment, I knew I needed someone else to take on that role for my wedding day. I quickly realized it wouldn't be fair to ask a bridesmaid or any guest to do it. I wanted everyone to fully enjoy the day with us! Shortly after my wedding, Parasol Collective was born!

I like to think of myself as your added bestie, ultimate hype girl, or personal paparazzi for the day - because that’s exactly how others have described my role after spending time with me. My goal is to be there, capturing all the moments and enhancing the fun, just like a close friend would. I believe that as a content creator, my role is to bring the fun & excitement to every moment and hype you up all day long. This isn’t just for couples, but for everyone involved - vendors, clients, and everyone else we work with. My goal is to make every experience memorable and energetic, ensuring that everyone involved feels celebrated and appreciated!

While weddings are undeniably one of the most significant days of people's lives, there are countless other events that can be just as meaningful. I'm here to capture all of those special moments, no matter the occasion!
